For over 40 years, Windermere Wine Stores has been a part of the fabric of the Lakes, serving the local community and visitors with care, character, and a curated selection of wines and spirits. It’s been more than just a shop. It’s a friendly hello. A recommendation you can trust. A bottle that makes a weekend feel special.

That won’t change.

But from October, we’re excited to begin a new chapter.

As the new stewards of Windermere Wine Stores, we’re building on everything Jo and her family have created and gently reimagining what the shop can become. Expect the same warm welcome and local knowledge, but with a fresh perspective, new producers to discover, and a renewed commitment to quality, curation and community.

We want Windermere Wine Stores to feel like a real destination. Not just for great wine, but for thoughtful gifts, good conversation, and the kind of personal service that feels rare these days. Over the coming months, you’ll notice small changes: a new look and feel, tastings and events, and a few exciting collaborations with local makers and far flung producers.
